This is a personal blog run (written, edited, fussed over, the whole shebang) by me, Jolène Davies. Any questions can be addressed to me by clicking here.
Disclosure Buttons
While I am a Canadian blogger, I abide by FTC regulations as they pertain to disclosures. As such, I have implemented a system of three disclosure buttons, which you will find at the top right of any post I write from this date forwards. More than one button may be used as a time, should the post include content belonging to different categories. Please note my shorthands below.

- Nothing to Disclose: this button indicates that I am writing about products which I have either purchased myself or received as winnings in a contest or giveaway. In either case, they have not been provided to me by a manufacturer or PR firm for review consideration. I will still be providing my thoughts on these products in order to inform my readers! I do not put anything after products for which I have nothing to disclose.
- Press Sample: this button indicates that I am writing about products that I have received from a manufacturer or PR firm gratis. The fact that I have received them for review consideration will never influence the content of my post or blog. I'm committed to presenting my honest thoughts fully and completely. After every product sent as a press sample, I put an asterisk (*).
- Affiliate Link: this button indicates that the post contains an affiliate link; were a reader to click through and purchase a product via that link, I would receive a small commission (but the price the reader pays would be unaffected). After every affiliate link, I put two asterisks (**).
Product Reviews
I am happy to discuss receiving for review products from your own line, or from a brand that you represent. Products received, either solicited or unsolicited, do not represent a contract for a published review or the content of any published review -- these types of contracts may be established on a case-by-case basis. Further, products received for review do not guarantee a favourable review, as honesty to my readers is my #1 commitment. As such, I will neither provide content for pre-approval, nor edit content based on requests to do so post-facto. That said, I will strive to always be fair to the product and brand.
Sponsored Posts
At this time, I am not accepting nor producing any sponsored posts.
Advertising
At this time, my website does not feature advertising in any form and will not accept requests for advertising space.
